Sound familiar?

Your SEO looks fine.
So why do deals go to competitors?

Our Google rankings are fine, but ChatGPT recommends our competitors.

Your SEO is working. AI still sends buyers to the same few competitors.

Demos and sign-ups are down and we can’t see why.

Buyers make their shortlist in AI before they ever visit your site.

When AI does mention us, it gets our product wrong.

It repeats an old or wrong line, like “better for enterprises” when you sell to startups, and buyers move on.

Buyers now ask AI before they ask you.

They type one question into ChatGPT, read one answer, and shortlist the brands it names. If you are not in that answer, you never get the chance. Your analytics won’t show the deal you lost.

Getting mentioned is step one. What AI says about you decides whether they pick you.

Why AI recommends your competitors

AI doesn’t just leave you out.
It repeats the doubts that stop buyers.

I’ve spent years studying why people hesitate to buy online, even when they want to. AI search is the newest place that hesitation happens. These are the four reasons I find most often.

It can’t find a clear answer about you

Your pages are written for Google keywords, not for the questions buyers ask AI before they choose.

It cites sources you’re missing from

G2, Capterra, Reddit threads and “best tools” lists. If you’re thin there, AI picks whoever isn’t.

It compares you on pages you don’t have

No comparison page and no alternatives page, so AI quotes your competitor’s version instead.

It repeats an objection about you

“Limited integrations.” “Pricey for small teams.” One old review becomes the line every buyer reads.

How it works

From “AI ignores us” to
“AI recommends us.”

  1. 01

    See where you appear

I ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI the questions your buyers ask, many times over, and record when they recommend you, mention you or leave you out, and who they pick instead.

  2. 02

    Know why competitors are recommended

I trace every answer back to the sources AI cites, and find the gaps and doubts that keep you out.

  3. 03

    Fix the gaps

I write and fix what AI quotes: comparison, alternatives and use case pages, plus your profiles on the review sites and directories it reads.

  4. 04

    Show what changed

I re-run the same questions and connect the change to demos, sign-ups and revenue, so you can show your founder real numbers, not a vanity score.

About

Hi, I’m Michael Zacs.

I’m the person behind Exibran.

I spent years writing SEO content for SaaS brands like Rank Math, where you’ll find my work under the name Uzoma Zacs. When buyers started asking AI instead of Google, one question took over my work: why does AI recommend one product and skip another?

My background is buyer psychology: why people hesitate to buy online, even when they want to. AI search is the newest place that hesitation happens. I find what makes AI, and your buyers, doubt you. Then I remove it.

You work with me directly. No account managers, no junior writers.

FAQ

AI search, explained simply.

The questions B2B teams ask me most about getting recommended by AI.

Bran’s tipAsk AI the same question a few times. Answers change from run to run, so one screenshot proves nothing.

What is AI search optimization?

AI search optimization, also called GEO (generative engine optimization) or AEO (answer engine optimization), is the work of getting your brand mentioned and recommended in AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok and Google AI Overviews. For a SaaS, AI, tech or B2B company, it means showing up when buyers ask AI which product or brand to choose.

How is AI search optimization different from SEO?

SEO gets your pages ranked on Google. AI search optimization gets your product named in the answer itself. They overlap, but ranking on Google does not mean AI recommends you: a 2026 study of 150 SaaS companies found that 44% of brands in Google’s top 10 got zero ChatGPT mentions for the same searches.

How do I know if ChatGPT recommends my product?

Ask it the questions your buyers ask, several times, in more than one AI assistant. Answers change from one run to the next, so a single screenshot proves very little. Or send me your product name and I will check it for you, free.

Who do you work with?

SaaS, AI, tech and B2B companies, mostly challengers competing against bigger, better-known brands in their category. If buyers in your market ask AI who to buy from, this work is for you.

How long does it take to see results?

Some fixes show up within weeks, especially in Perplexity and Google AI, which search the web live. Others take longer because they depend on review sites and other sources AI trusts. I measure before and after, so you see exactly what moved.

Is this only about ChatGPT?

No. Your buyers use different assistants, so I check ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, DeepSeek, Grok, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode.
